ACM winners announced! Toby's new venture and Carrie's secret admirer

Stage mishap! It happened to Brad last year...now it's Easton Corbin's turn to fall off stage- DOH! The messed up part...prankster Blake Shelton is the one getting everyone to watch Easton's embarrassing moment by tweeting the link along with not so nice tagline "Ha! Ha! What a moron...."

Congratulations to Eric Church and the Band Perry- they've have won the fan voted ACM's Top New Solo and Top New Duo or Group Awards. They will now compete for Top New Artist in the second round of voting...which kicks off March 11 at VoteACM.com. You'll also be able to vote for Entertainer of the Year then too!

Thanks but no thanks Toby! Toby Keith is marketing his own line of Mezcal. The drink, called Toby Keith's Wild Shot Mezcal, will be true to its Mexican roots and includes a worm at the bottom of the bottle, which Toby says is meant to be eaten. "It is believed that the worm will bring wondrous experiences and every individual's will be different." Bringing the drink to market is an extension of Toby's love affair with Mexico. "I have always been fascinated with Mexico and the drink Mezcal," says Toby. "It is a part of my life." I'm thinking in this case...what happens down in Mexico should STAY in Mexico!

Awww SO sweet! Carrie Underwood has a not so secret admirer...Brad Paisley's 4 year-old Huck has a BIG crush on her! Brad tells People.com that Huck gave her roses and a Valentine note when she visited their farm last week. He also impressed Carrie with a feat of strength. Brad says, "We were all hanging out in the studio and out of the blue, he said, 'Carrie, watch!' And he pushed the pillows off of the couch with both arms and held them above his head and he said, 'Look how strong I am!'"

Speaking of free...although it has nothing to do with country music except for the fact that maybe some country stars like pancakes? Ok I'm stretching but since I'm obsessed with pancakes thought I'd share...National Pancake Day is on March 1st! And that means free pancakes! IHOP will be serving them up from 7:00am – 10:00pm! Any donations will go to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

Did you catch Kellie Pickler on Ellen? She is always so hilarious...see her tell the story of why she decided to elope and the beautiful wedding pictures!

This just makes me love the Zac Brown Band even more! Zac is building a camp for special needs kids on 360 pine-filled acres near his home in Georgia. The camp will be free to attendees, and it is designed to build children’s music and life skills, plus promote health awareness. He says, “To me, there is nothing more worthwhile than helping kids. Camp Southern Ground will work with special needs children while providing them with lodging and facilities to most effectively contribute to their rehabilitation.” Camp Southern Ground will be a state-of-the-art facility that support children that have Tourette’s syndrome, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Asperger syndrome and autism. Zac Brown Band will also support this new endeavor, and $1 from every ticket sold for their concert dates in 2011 will go to benefit Camp Southern Ground. For more details visit their official site. (www.campsouthernground.org)

Which of your favorite artists are swimming in dough? Unsurprisingly, Taylor Swift! Taylor is country music's top money maker of 2011 with an income of more than $20.7 million, according to Billboard magazine. Brad Paisley comes in second with an income of almost $14 million, followed by Carrie Underwood with more than $13.5 million. Tim McGraw is fourth with more than $13 million. Rascal Flatts rounds out the top five with an almost $12 million paycheck. The rankings are based on music sales, tour dates and downloads.

Jason on Ellen!

Ever realize you've been driving in a daze? Happened to me on the way home from the grocery store today. I missed a turn to my house somehow and drove a few minutes before realizing "Where the heck am I?!" By the time I got my bearings and made it home...I missed Jason Aldean's performance on Ellen- DOH! Luckily, found the video so here ya go...Jason and Kelly Clarkson doing "Don't You Wanna Stay"

Kenny Chesney is coming back to VB- just didn't feel like summer last year without him did it? He says the one song he's rehearsing like crazy...his latest hit "Somewhere With You." The song's rapid fire lyrics can be a bit of a tongue-twister, but he says he's got them down -- he's just wondering if his fans do, too! Of course we do! Kenny will be here Thursday August 4th along with Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker at Farm Bureau Live at Virginia Beach. The 2011 SaveOurFood.org Country Megaticket goes on-sale Saturday, February 26th at 10:00 AM.

Jake Owen's run in with the police, Trace Adkins in the doghouse? And more!

Jake Owen learned his lesson -- don't get smart with the police. On Friday, he was pulled over for speeding. When the cop asked him why he was doing 96 when the speed limit was 70 miles per hour, Jake told him, "If you ain't first, you're last." Needless to say, the cop was not amused and handed him a ticket for $175.

Brad Paisley performed before the Daytona 500 yesterday doing ‘Water’, ‘This Is Country Music’ and ‘Mud On The Tires.’ During one point Brad was presented a guitar from Nascar with the 53rd Daytona 500 Logo on it prior to his pre-race concert. Brad also mentioned, when asked about his win as CMA Entertainer of The Year, that he has yet to receive the CMA ETOTY trophy and stated “I hope they let me have it”

Trace Adkins had an interesting Valentine’s Day surprise this past Monday. A brand new washer and dryer and Trace didn’t even know he bought it. Trace says he came home to find a guy installing a brand-new washer and dryer in his garage Monday....for their dogs! He says, “She got a washer and dryer put in the garage for the dog’s bed. Isn’t that crazy?” Trace approached the man installing the appliances in his garage and asked him what he was doing. The guy’s response: “Your wife wanted me to do this.” When Trace found his wife, he said, “I have washed stuff in a washing machine that would make you throw up! And then the next load, you can wash a tablecloth. It’s a washing machine! That’s what it does. It gets dirty stuff out, flushes it down the thing and then it’s good to go again.’” Considering it was Valentine's Day though I'm betting if his wife didn't get to keep it...Trace would've wound up in the garage with the dogs!

Free music from Eric Church! He's offering a free download of his new single “Homeboy” until February 24 for fans who go to www.ericchurch.com and retweet the message about his ACM nomination. He's nominated for ACM Top New Solo Vocalist (www.voteacm.com). The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast LIVE from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3 at 8pm ET on CBS.
The new single will be available to purchase on March 8th.

Blake Shelton's latest hit "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking" was almost a hit for someone else...can you picture Joe Nichols singing it? Joe says, "'Who Are You' is one of the mistakes you make along the way; the woulda, coulda, shoulda that has happened, and you just wished things would've been different. When we cut [it], I begged everybody who would listen, I begged for that to be a single, for that to be the first single." Even though Joe felt a bit of disappointment that the song was not a single for him, he's thrilled that it is for his longtime friend. "The one thing I am proud of now is that it's found a home with Blake, and Blake's having some significant success with it," he says. "It's the hit it should've been, and I'm glad he's the guy that cut it and that he's going to have the hit on it. I'm happy for the writers, and I'm happy for Blake. We screwed it up, and hopefully they don't [laughs]."

Brad Paisley's a Tease! Toby as a backup singer?! Plus, Jason on Ellen and more

Tease! Brad Paisley released the cover art to his new CD today and then announced we're going to have to wait even longer to get it Brad pushed back the release date of his new album by more than a month. Originally set for release on April 19, we're now going to have to wait until May 24 to buy This Is Country Music. I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait!

Jason Aldean is heading to Ellen along with a special guest! He will perform “Don’t You Wanna Stay” with Kelly Clarkson on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Tues., Feb. 22. He will also perform “My Kinda Party” on Conan that same night. Jason says, “Other than when we debuted ‘Stay’ on the CMA Awards, we haven’t really had a chance to perform the song together on tv. Something happened while we were off for the holidays and that song has just taken off…you can really feel the impact out on the road the minute we play the first note.”

Miranda Lambert has seen a ton of success this past year but she's not letting it go to her head. She says her secret to staying grounded...“I would recommend to any star whose life is driving them crazy, move to the boonies,” she said (via The Tennessean). “When we get (home) and I see my dogs and my farm animals and just hang out, it just so reminds me of why I exist in the world, and that if the music goes away I will still have people that I love in my life.” She admits it’s tough at times. “I think I do get numb or jaded at times,” Lambert said. “I might be short with somebody, and my mom will be like, ‘Oh, you need to be nice.’ And I’ll be like, ‘Oh, crap, you’re right.’ It’s a lot of pressure. Girls have times of the month when they’re just in a mad mood. I’m also learning to protect my own personal time because I think keeping a balance will keep me sane forever.”

Tim McGraw isn't the only one teaming up with Gwyneth Paltrow- Toby Keith has offered to sing back up for the Oscar Winner! After her role as a country singer in "Country Strong" Gwyneth decided she wants to be the real deal. She is planning to record her own country album and Toby Keith has offered to be a back-up singer & writer for it! Craig's a hero! Lady A and Tim videos and more!

So cool! Craig Morgan helped save two young children from a house fire in his hometown of Dickson, TN over the weekend. The former EMT and assistant deputy sheriff was on his way home from a series of dates when he saw the fire and immediately raced into the smoke-filled house to rescue the kids still inside. When emergency crews arrived, firefighters handed Morgan a hose to help extinguish the flames. According to Morgan's publicist, the home suffered minor damage, and everyone inside made it to safety.

Why Miranda is nervous about the ACMS- and it has nothing to do with 7 nominations, The awards show Trace Adkins won't attend and more!

Miranda Lambert will be dateless on one of the biggest nights of her career since boyfriend Blake Shelton will be on stage most of the night co-hosting the ACM Awards with Reba McEntire. She may be more anxious about that than hearing her own seven categories announced. She says, "He's kind of a loose cannon and you never know what's going to come out of his mouth."

On the subject of awards show- there's one that Trace Adkins won't be going to even though he's nominated...The Grammy's. Trace Adkins is nominated or Best Country Collaboration With Vocals for his song ‘Hillbilly Bone,’ a duet with Blake Shelton at the Grammys. CNN asked if he would be attending the show, the singer’s response was not so positive: “Probably not. I’ve been before. I went once.” In 2010, Adkins was nominated for a Grammy and went to the show. He told Canadian radio station CJDC , “I found out that they have two Grammy shows. I only thought they had one, and then I went out there and found out that the B-Team don’t get to go to the big show.” He continued, “I had to go to the little show, which nobody was there … along with all the other polka bands and swing groups and jazz acts and us country guys, and then they called whoever won and nobody clapped.” Nobody puts Trace in the corner!

Valentine's Day is on the way but one country star needs to work on his romantic side...Chris Young. He says, “The last really romantic thing I did was took someone to a really nice dinner, bought an expensive bottle of wine, and just had like a two-hour dinner with somebody. I turned my phone off.” Doesn't he know from his own song "Getting You Home" that a dinner out isn't the romantic part?! Chris say's it's hard for him to turn his phone off because he's addicted to playing ‘Angry Birds,’ one of the most downloaded apps, on his phone. Side note- my husband just got this app and if I hear it one more time his smartphone isn't going to be quite so smart anymore :)

Superbowl Sunday will offer up something else besides football to watch too- CMT Crossroads: The Pretenders and Faith Hill Live from the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam premieres live on CMT on Saturday, February 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET/9:00 p.m. CT, as part of the NFL Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam festivities. This is Hill’s first time appearing on CMT Crossroads and the second time the series has aired live.

Don't forget to look for Keith Urban Superbowl Sunday too- he's performing with John Mayer during the pre-show festivities.
