Why Miranda is nervous about the ACMS- and it has nothing to do with 7 nominations, The awards show Trace Adkins won't attend and more!

Miranda Lambert will be dateless on one of the biggest nights of her career since boyfriend Blake Shelton will be on stage most of the night co-hosting the ACM Awards with Reba McEntire. She may be more anxious about that than hearing her own seven categories announced. She says, "He's kind of a loose cannon and you never know what's going to come out of his mouth."

On the subject of awards show- there's one that Trace Adkins won't be going to even though he's nominated...The Grammy's. Trace Adkins is nominated or Best Country Collaboration With Vocals for his song ‘Hillbilly Bone,’ a duet with Blake Shelton at the Grammys. CNN asked if he would be attending the show, the singer’s response was not so positive: “Probably not. I’ve been before. I went once.” In 2010, Adkins was nominated for a Grammy and went to the show. He told Canadian radio station CJDC , “I found out that they have two Grammy shows. I only thought they had one, and then I went out there and found out that the B-Team don’t get to go to the big show.” He continued, “I had to go to the little show, which nobody was there … along with all the other polka bands and swing groups and jazz acts and us country guys, and then they called whoever won and nobody clapped.” Nobody puts Trace in the corner!

Valentine's Day is on the way but one country star needs to work on his romantic side...Chris Young. He says, “The last really romantic thing I did was took someone to a really nice dinner, bought an expensive bottle of wine, and just had like a two-hour dinner with somebody. I turned my phone off.” Doesn't he know from his own song "Getting You Home" that a dinner out isn't the romantic part?! Chris say's it's hard for him to turn his phone off because he's addicted to playing ‘Angry Birds,’ one of the most downloaded apps, on his phone. Side note- my husband just got this app and if I hear it one more time his smartphone isn't going to be quite so smart anymore :)

Superbowl Sunday will offer up something else besides football to watch too- CMT Crossroads: The Pretenders and Faith Hill Live from the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam premieres live on CMT on Saturday, February 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET/9:00 p.m. CT, as part of the NFL Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam festivities. Don't forget to look for Keith Urban Superbowl Sunday too- he's performing with John Mayer during the pre-show festivities.
