Country and football come together

Yeah! I have something to look forward to when my husband makes me watch football this weekend... Martina McBride will belt out the National Anthem and Joe Nichols will perform during halftime at Sunday's AFC Championship game at Heinz Field between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Jets.

Speaking of football and country music coming together- Packers quarterback Aaaron Rogers and some of his teammates were a surprise guest at Brad Paisley's show last night in Green Bay, WI. Aaron Rodgers joined Brad on "I'm Still A Guy" and guard Josh Sitton, tackle Bryan Bulaga, kicker Mason Crosby and other teammates joined Brad onstage during the encore "Alcohol." A youtuber caught it on video- check it out

And one more...Keith Urban will perform songs from his album Get Closer during FOX's Super Bowl pre-game coverage. The festivities air live from Cowboys Stadium in Dallas on February 6th.

First Martina McBride left her longtime record label now Alan Jackson is jumping ship too. Alan is leaving his record label -- Arista Nashville. A statement from the label says the parting is amicable and expresses their thanks for their long relationship. Alan released his first album on Arista in 1990 -- Here In the Real World. While he hasn't announced his plans, it doesn't sound like he's retiring. He says, "What am I going to retire from? I don't hardly do anything now!"
