Merry Christmas!

We got mixed reactions to our Christmas card this year...Either our friends loved it, didn't understand it ("Why is Danny DaVito in your card?") Or thought we completely lost our minds (quite possible!) Either way...Merry Christmas :)

Ronnie Dunn a Grandpa and more troubles for Mindy McCreedy

Ronnie Dunn is going to be a grandpa! According to CountryWeekly.com, Ronnie's son Jessie and his wife are expecting a boy in February. Jessie is a school teacher in California.

Mindy McCreedy seems to be known more for her troubles these days than her singing career (Remember "10000 Angels" I loved that song!) Sad to see that not only is she not working on new music anymore- but she only seems to be in the news for getting in trouble. Earlier today people.com reported that police were searching for Mindy and her 5-year-old son Zander, who both disappeared Tuesday night in Florida during an apparent dispute between the troubled country singer and the court system. She later denied the reports and announced that she is 5 months pregnant with twins. Here's hoping that she can get everything together for these babies! A Sugarland Wedding and Rodney Atkins on Fallon

Congrats to Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, she married entrepreneur Justin Miller Saturday! The wedding took place at sunset at a chapel in the foothills of Tennessee's Smoky Mountains. Jennifer wore an Alexander McQueen dress...can't wait to see pics! Remember Kate Middleton wore an Alexander McQueen gown for her famous wedding and it was beautiful!! Although the ceremony was small, and the guest list tight, Kristian Bush was of course among those friends and family on hand to for the ceremony. Jennifer and Justin have dated for more than two years, and you might recognize him too...he appeared in the video for "Want To."

Eric Church and Keith Anderson are new dads! Plus, more on the Hank Williams Jr controversy and Faith Hill is back!!

Congratulations to Eric Church and his wife Katherine! They had a little baby boy on Monday Boone McCoy Church. "Everybody always tells you what an awesome and unique experience being a parent is," Church says. "Words can never do the feeling justice. I am very thankful and blessed to have a healthy and happy baby boy and baby mama."

Another congrats to Keith Anderson and wife Lauren on the birth of their first child Crozlë J Anderson, who was delivered yesterday!

Despite the apology Hank Williams, Jr issued yesterday, ESPN decided that "All My Rowdy Friends" will no longer open the Monday Night Football broadcasts. The theme song has been part of the telecast since 1991.

Hank Williams Jr apologizes for his comments, Miranda sings about Blake's late brother

Hank Williams Junior has issued an apology after being yanked from Monday Night Football for making a comment on Fox and Friends that seemed to compare President Obama to Adolf Hitler. He says, "I have always been very passionate about politics and sports, and this time it got the best or worst of me. The thought of the leaders of both parties 'junkin' and 'high fivin'' on a golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by, made me boil over and make a dumb statement, and I am very sorry if it offended anyone. I would like to thank all my supporters. This was not written by some publicist."

I can't wait for Miranda Lambert's new CD, Four the Record, to come out so I'm scouring the net for any details I can find. I just read that the CD is going to features a special song...a tribute to Blake Shelton's brother Richie, who died in a car accident when Blake was 14. Miranda and Blake co-wrote "Over You," because according to Miranda, "I think maybe we had been talking about the wedding, saying, 'I wish Richie could be here.' It just kind of came to us." She tried to get Blake to record the song, but he was afraid he would be too emotional. Four the Record comes out on November 1st.

Rascal Flatts Surprise Opry Member Invitation by Vince Gill

I mentioned in yesterday's blog that Rascal Flatts were asked to become member of the Grand Ol Opry- here's the video of the surprise invitation!

Trace Adkins in a new movie...Luke Bryan performs "Country Girl"

I still haven't gotten around to seeing Trace Adkins in the movie "The Lincoln Lawyer" and now it was announced that he's going to be in another movie- I need to get on the ball! Trace has joined the cast of the supernatural thriller The Healer. He plays "The Truck Driver," who transports souls to hell. The film follows twin teenagers and their father on a perilous camp-out in an inescapable forest. On second thought...I'm a wuss when it comes to scary movies so maybe I'll just stick to seeing Trace sing. Production is underway in North Carolina.

Scotty McCreery will teamed up with Tim McGraw on Idol and now he's teaming up with another country star...Brad Paisley. Brad surprised Scotty during their show in Raleigh Sunday and asked him to join him on tour next year.

Congratulations to the guys of Rascal Flatts- they are going to be the newest members of the Grand Ol Opry! Last Night Vince Gill surprised Rascal Flatts with an invitation to join the Opry family. "When we first signed our record deal in 1999, our main goal was to play the Grand Ole Opry and someday be members," Gary LeVox said. The induction will take place Oct. 8 during the institution's 86th anniversary weekend.

Reba and Zac Brown coming to your TV? Plus, go on the road with Billy Currington

Reba McEntire already had a hit show with "Reba" and now she has a new pilot for a sitcom coming to ABC. The show, Malibu Country, is about a singer who divorces her rock star husband after he cheats on her and leaves her almost broke. She moves with her three kids from Nashville to the only asset she has left -- a beach house in Malibu. No word on when the pilot will air.

Speaking of country stars on TV...could Zac Brown be the next reality TV star? In a recent interview he hinted that a show about his family might be in the works. He says, "I think our lives in general are just pretty entertaining, or would be for most people," he said. "Getting that good content together and presenting it in a way ...and putting it out there, there's a lot of that to come." Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens...in the meantime we know we'll see him Sunday October 16th at Farm Bureau Live!

Congrats to new mom Ashton Shepherd! She gave birth to a little girl, Raden Delilah Cunningham, Friday. She joins 5-year old big brother James. Raden was born in Demopolis, AL and weighed 7lbs 7 oz and is 19 ½ inches long. In true Ashton fashion, the proud Mom says, “she’s perty!” Ashton also tweeted the happy news, saying “Hey fans friends and family BABY RADEN IS HERE!!!! :-) im hurting pretty bad but im so happy. She is beautiful! God is truly great!”

Ever wonder what it's like for Trace Adkins and Toby Keith to work together now that Toby is Trace's boss? It's great according to Trace! He just released his second album on Toby Keith's record label Show Dog/Universal, and Trace says, "We're both the kind of guys, we don't beat around the bush. When we have conversations about business stuff, they usually last about 45 seconds. It's a good fit for me."

Go on the road with Billy Currington! In this video Billy takes you behind the scenes

New Music Alert and Randy Houser's Wedding Picture!

Toby Keith has a new CD coming out next month on the 24th and I just learned that the deluxe edition of "Clancy's Tavern" is going to feature something pretty cool...four live covers! Toby will be doing Waylon Jennings' "High Time (You Quit Your Lowdown Ways), Buck Owens' "Truck Drivin' Man," Three Dog Night's "Shambala" and Chuck Berry's "Memphis." The tracks were recorded live during the 2010 "Incognito Bandito" concert at New York City's Fillmore.

NBC should just rename themselves Lady A TV for the next week. Lady Antebellum will be all over the peacock network. They're doing the National Anthem before Sunday's (9/11) New York Jets-Dallas Cowboys game. This follows their performance tonight (9/9) at NFL Kickoff 2011 in Green Bay, also televised on NBC. And they're set to make their Saturday Night Live debut Oct. 1 on, yep, NBC. Not done yet...they'll be promoting the release of their new CD Own The Night, hitting stores next Tuesday (9/13), with an appearance on (yes, NBC's) Today Show.

Congratulations to Randy Houser! He got married over the long weekend in a Caribbean ceremony. Randy married Jessa Lee Yantz in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The couple had 20 close friends and family members surrounding them at sunset when they exchanged vows that they wrote themselves.

Country Singer on Survivor...Plus, Chely Wright's Wedding Picture

Nashville Star alum Whitney Duncan is heading to another reality show...Survivor! She's going to be a cast member of the next season set in the South Pacific. She says she had a pretty good chance of winning too, “People may think I’m Barbie but I’m actually closer to kick-ass Barbie. I grew up in the country. I'm from freakin’ backwoods of Tennessee. This is what it’s like in the woods. I grew up in the woods. Let's just say I didn't play with dolls a lot. I’m more of a tomboy.” Survivor: South Pacific starts Sept. 14 on CBS.

Kim Kardashian wasn't the only one who got married this weekend...Chely Wright, country music's first openly gay singer, tied the knot with gay-rights activist Lauren Blitzer on Saturday in Connecticut, a state that allows same-sex marriages. A last minute prayer circle saved Sugarland!

More details are coming out about the tragedy in Indianapolis after a stage collapsed killing 5 people and injuring more this weekend...backstage moments before it happened Sugarland's Jennifer and Kristian, along with their band members and the stage crew, were getting ready to walk out on the stage when the stage manager stage manager, Hellen Rollens, stopped them to do a quick prayer...and that may have saved their lives! Sugarland's manager Gail Gellman said, "Everybody was standing in a prayer circle getting ready to go onstage, and [as Helle] was walking down the ramp, the stage fell. So her decision to hold them for literally a minute saved every band member and crew's life." She added that while others backstage felt it was fine for the band to begin their set, it was Rollens' instincts that made the difference between life and possible death. As their rig came crashing down, Sugarland and crew ducked for cover near a wall to avoid the crushing metal. Luckily, they walked away unscathed and regrouped a little later by their tour bus. "There was no running out anywhere. No one knew what happened. It was just the moment when your eyes get big," the manager added.

Jennifer and Kristian have spoken out about the tragedy saying, "Our fans just came to see a show, and it ended in something terrible. My heart is totally broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives. It's broken for all the people who got hurt, for the people who were scared," wrote Kristian Bush on his blog. "I thank God for every person who lifted a truss, who pushed against that metal to get it off someone; for every person who used a chair as a stretcher. I thank God for every fan and emergency responder, for everyone who ran to the trouble instead of away from it. The courage of those men and women will forever be with me."

In another statement released today, Sugarland revealed that it's in the process of "planning a private memorial in Indiana to honor those fans who died," one that will take place, however, after the families have had "time to go through their own services and memorial."

Smell like Keith Urban and get Footloose with Blake Shelton!

He mentioned it a few weeks ago during his "Back Stage Appearance" but it's official today...you can now smell like Keith Urban. Keith's signature fragrance, Phoenix, is now available on his website. It's described as "a profoundly rich, masculine scent ... infused with blackberries, cognac and plum, and can be described as having a woody oriental fragrance."

I opened up my paper Sunday to see Blake Shelton on the cover of Parade and he was spilling dirt on Miranda inside...and for once, being nice! Blake says he was a little gun-shy about popping the question to Miranda Lambert -- mostly because of his painful divorce from his first wife. In the article he says, "It was the worst experience of my life. Nothing was worth risking that again. I wanted to be really sure this time, and I wanted Miranda to be really sure." But he says hearing the song "God Gave Me You" on a Christian radio station erased any doubts "For me, that's like our song. I don't just love Miranda -- I'm in love with her." Read more about the article here http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20515976,00.html

Speaking of Blake- it was just announced today that he's singing the big theme song on the soundtrack of the new "Footloose" movie! I wasn't that excited for yet another remake...but the soundtrack is worth going for! Here's what the CD will look like:

. Footloose – Blake Shelton
2. Where The River Goes – Zac Brown
3. Little Lovin’ – Lissie
4. Holding Out For A Hero – Ella Mae Bowen
5. Let’s Hear It For The Boy – Jana Kramer
6. So Sorry Mama – Whitney Duncan
7. Fake I.D. – Big & Rich feat. Gretchen Wilson
8. Almost Paradise – Victoria Justice & Hunter Hayes
9. Walkin’ Blues – Cee Lo Green feat. Kenny Wayne Shepherd
10. Window Paine – The Smashing Pumpkins
11. Suicide Eyes – A Thousand Horses
12. Dance The Night Away – David Banner

Carjacked...by a 5 year old???

So today I was sitting in my car in the YMCA parking lot (putting off having to actually go inside and workout!) I was on my phone talking to my husband when all of a sudden I heard this bang on my car...I looked in my rear view mirror to see a little boy banging on the car trunk. The next thing I knew he had walked up to my driver's side...was banging on my window and trying to open my car door!

My husband, meanwhile, is still on the phone asking "What is going on?" The only thing I could think to say was, "I think I'm getting carjacked by a 5 year old!"
