Martina McBride showed up at Garth Brooks' recent Nashville concert not to sing...but to sell tshirts! Years ago, Garth took a young unsigned Martina under his wing, and she went out on the road with him to help sell Garth merchandise. So after Martina went to one of Garth’s nine fundraising shows held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Martina recently sent out a social message. "Saw Garth tonight...he's still got it,” Martina wrote. “I even sold a few t-shirts for old time's sake.”

Brad Paisley‘s kids couldn’t be more different from one another. Brad recently said that his oldest son, Huck “is a lot like me. He shares my disposition and focuses on a lot of things.” When it comes to Huck’s younger brother, Jasper, Brad says “Then the second child is the opposite of Huck … which I think happens a lot. In some way he’s becoming my favorite just by the fact that he’s not like me.” I thought parents weren't supposed to admit who their favorite kid was? Brad may have just made Santa's naughty list :)

Need a last minute stocking stuffer? Lady Antebellum has some holiday joy A Merry Little Christmas, a six song EP, exclusively at Target. The album features five holiday favorites as well as the original track “On This Winter’s Night.” Haywood and bandmates Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley “tried to take some of our Christmas memories, and some of the things we remember from the holiday season, and put them into a song. It was definitely a new experience for us; we’d never written a Christmas song, really, before. But it was a lot of fun trying to look at what we do and how we spend the holidays and take that feeling and put it into a song.”

Carrie Underwood got lucky this Christmas and didn't have to fight with her new husband over whose family they should see for the holiday. Carrie and Mike will spend the holiday in Nashville since his team will be in town to play the Nashville Predators on December 23rd. “I’m lucky enough, I don’t have to choose where we’re going to be spending Christmas because Mike plays the [Nashville] Predators on the 23rd,” Carrie told Us magazine. “So, lucky girl! I was kind of bracing myself for that fight.” Since her tour plays up until the 22nd, Carrie won’t have any time to get her Christmas shopping done. She told the mag “it will be presentless,” adding, “He also plays on the 26th, so we’ll be on a plane, I think, on Christmas.”

Trisha Yearwood isn't the only country star who loves to cook- Taylor Swift loves to bake and shares her recipe for the Pumpkin Spice cookies she makes every winter.

* For the cookies:
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
* 2 tablespoons Maple syrup
* 2 eggs
* 1 cup canned pumpkin
* 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon ground all spice
* 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
* Pinch ground cloves
* 2 1/2 cups flour
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* Pinch of salt
* For the frosting:
* 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
* 1 cup confectioners sugar
* 1/4 cup milk
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* Zest of one lemon
* For Garnish:
* Whole pecans
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixer, fitted with a paddle, cream the sugar and the butter until light and fluffy. Add the maple syrup and eggs. Mix to incorporate. Add the pumpkin and mix to incorporate. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and cloves. Add the dry ingredients to the batter and mix well. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown around the edges. Cool on racks. When cool, ice with the cream cheese frosting.
For the Frosting: In a mixer, fitted with a paddle, add the cream cheese. Beat until light and fluffy. Beat in the powdered sugar until smooth. Add milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. If frosting is too thick, thin with a little more milk. Fold in the lemon zest. When cookies are cool spread with some of the frosting. Garnish with a whole pecan.
