The Band Perry on The View- I've got the video and more country music news

Wow- Check out The Band Perry on The View this week- I'll never get sick of this song!

Wondering what big superstars ask Santa for? How about canned vegetables? Yep- that's what Kenny Chesney says he wants. He told a Nashville radio station that his mother agonizes over his Christmas gift every year, so last year he asked for home-canned green beans, and that's what he wants this year, too. If I got that as a gift I'd think I made it onto Santa's naughty list for sure!

April marks the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War, and Rascal Flatts is one of several country acts that will remember that moment in American history by appearing in a mini-series, "Too Appomattox.” The Flatts boys been enlisted to produce the soundtrack and they will be appearing in the mini-series too as soliders! “We‘re not going to be a bass player in the Civil War, or a guitarist and a singer,” Gary LeVox insists. But that doesn’t eliminate other possibilities.
“I‘m going to be a Civil War flutist,” Jay DeMarcus jokes.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw are the stars of the new movie "Country Strong" and Tim was asked if Gwyneth had any help from his wife, Faith Hill, when preparing for her role as a country star. Tim's funny response...“Faith only helped her with the alcoholism and the sex addiction and all those things,” Tim said, smiling. “Other than that, I don’t think she got much from Faith.” The movie opens nationwide Jan. 7.
