Garth is back! Rascal Flatts and Keith news too

Rascal Flatts will be part of the Live on Letterman concert series November 15th. It's being broadcast live from New York, but for those of us in Hapmton Roads, the concert will also be streamed on the CBS website.

Garth is back! He announced today that he is going to do a benefit concert in Nashville. "Yes, we're going to again ask Tennesseans to pull Tennessee out of this," Brooks said during the announcement. "But I'm making the plea to all our families from Ireland, Australia, Germany, all over the world: If [seeing a Garth Brooks show] is a bucket list [item] for you, this is the time to do it. Come here, because our job is to show everyone that Nashville is not only up and running, it's better than it's ever been." Garth and wife Trisha Yearwood discussed the possibility of guest performers. "We're going to ask our usual guys ... it's not unlike us to beg. So, if there are surprises, great. We just don't want to sell a ticket and then [fans are] disappointed. So we'll try to keep quiet and whoever wants can seek us out." Trisha added, "We can confirm that we're going to be there." Ticket information will be announced at noon CT next Wednesday (11/3). Every penny of the $25 ticket price will go to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee for flood relief. Rumor has it that he has also put the venue on hold Dec. 19, 20 and 21 in the eventuality that the first and subsequent dates sell out. A Predators game is scheduled for Dec. 18.

The CMA is staging an ABC-TV takeover throughout November. Leading up to the Nov. 10 awards telecast, various artists will appear on the Road To The CMA Awards (10/30-11/10) and In The Spotlight With Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville (11/3); Taylor Swift will perform on Dancing With The Stars (11/2); Brad Paisley (11/4) and Reba (11/9) will appear on Good Morning America; Blake Shelton will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live (11/10). Ahead of the CMA Country Christmas special (11/29), Jason Aldean plays on Jimmy Kimmel Live; Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and LeAnn Rimes will appear on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (11/14); Lyle Lovett guests as "Agent Darryl Shafer" on Castle (11/15); and Reba will guest-star in Better With You (11/17).

On Thanksgiving Day, (Nov 25), Keith Urban will help kick-off the Salvation Army 2010 Red Kettle Christmas Campaign with a halftime performance at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving game.
